The York County Community Foundation is an affiliate of Foundation For The Carolinas—a philanthropic and financial services organization serving 13 counties in North and South Carolina, which provides experienced staff, administrative support and fiduciary management.

Grants Available for York County Nonprofits
The York County Community Foundation Now Accepting Applications
February 1, 2016 – The York County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications from eligible York County organizations including 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, congregations, governmental and educational institutions for its 2016 grants program.
In 2015, the York County Community Foundation awarded $28,900 in grant funding to local nonprofits. The average grant size was $2,200.
Grants this year will be made to support programs that focus on arts and culture, K-12 education, environment, health or human services. Proposals must fall within one of these areas to be considered. Additional information and guidance is available online.
To begin the application process, grant seekers are invited to visit the Online Grants Center and search for York County Community Foundation to access the online application.
Past applicants can login to the Online Grants Center using their previously established account information. First-time applicants can create a new account.
Completed applications must be submitted online by noon on Friday, March 4, 2016. The system closes promptly at 12:00 p.m. and will not accept late submissions.

Community Foundation Awards Grants to Local Organizations
Thirteen York County nonprofit groups benefit from charitable funding

May 1, 2015 – The York County Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $28,900 to thirteen nonprofit organizations.

$2,500 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County for summer camp scholarship assistance.
$1,900 to Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation for volunteer training.
$2,500 to Habitat for Humanity of York County for their Home Presentation Program.
$2,500 to Palmetto School at the Children’s Attention Home for Project TEAMS.
$2,500 to Pilgrims Inn to benefit the Dorothy Bing Inn Emergency Shelter Program.
$1,000 to RideAbility Therapeutic Riding Center to purchase adaptive saddles for their clients.
$4,200 to the Rock Hill Parks Foundation to purchase bicycles for their “Let’s Get Riding!” Program.
$2,000 to Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation for their Back the Pack program.
$2,500 to SC Governor’s School for Science and Math Foundation for the iTEAMS Program for middle school students.
$2,800 to Thompson Child & Family Focus to expand their Foster Care Program into York County.
$1,000 to the York County 4-H for their 4-H embryology project.
$1,000 to Keystone Substance Abuse Services to provide after school meals for their youth and adolescent clients.
$2,500 to York County Free Clinic to purchase medication for their free medication program.
