Clerk of Superior Court - Mecklenburg County

The Pass the Torch Leadership Award was developed to recognize leaders in the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office who have made significant contributions to advancing court excellence.

This quarter’s recipient is Tamay Jackson, Assistant Clerk in the Estates Division.

Tamay consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to public service. She approaches her work with diligence, precision, and a thorough understanding of the sensitive nature of probate matters. Through her keen attention to detail and her willingness to support both colleagues and customers, she plays a vital role in ensuring the Estates Division operates efficiently and effectively. Her leadership is reflected in the way she consistently models integrity, reliability, and a service-focused mindset.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a national effort to raise awareness about the importance of preventing child abuse and neglect.

City leaders and local advocates launched the month-long campaign by planting pinwheels outside of the Mecklenburg County Courthouse.

This community-wide effort is symbolized by a blue pinwheel — a national emblem representing the bright future that every child deserves. Throughout April, pinwheels will be displayed in public spaces across Mecklenburg County as a visible reminder of the importance of protecting children and strengthening families.
