Last Friday and Saturday, TMSA Public Charter Schools brought together our Board Members and Leadership Team in Raleigh for the Annual Board Retreat, focused on meaningful conversations about the future of our schools.

Throughout the retreat, the Board focused on TMSA’s 2030 Strategic Plan, engaging in thoughtful discussions around our long-term goals, priorities, and the action plans that will help move our organization forward.

These conversations reflected our shared commitment to continuous improvement, academic excellence, college and career readiness, and providing the best possible opportunities for every TMSA student.

The two-day retreat provided valuable time for our Board and Leadership Team to collaborate, align priorities, and continue refining the path toward TMSA 2030.

Together, we are planning today and building toward a stronger future for TMSA.

🎉Our Kindergarten scholars had a special reason to celebrate this Friday! They held a Letter & Sound Parade to recognize their achievement of learning all of their letters and sounds!

To make the celebration even more memorable, scholars created their very own letter vests and proudly showed them off during the parade.

Family engagement is thriving at TMSA! Our Curriculum Night was a huge success, giving families an opportunity to connect with teachers and learn how to support their scholars academically. Our Parent Champions bring families together to volunteer, support school events, assist with fundraising, and help strengthen our school community. We also kicked off our first fundraiser with Kona Ice and offered resale uniforms to provide families with an affordable way to purchase gently used TMSA uniforms. Together, we are building a stronger Tiger community!

Principals’ Day of Synergy at TMSA

TMSA Public Charter Schools brought together our Principals and Executive Team for a full day of learning, collaboration, and alignment during our Principals’ Day of Synergy.

The day featured comprehensive HR training covering the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment, hiring, and onboarding to professional development, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and offboarding.

Beyond training, our school leaders worked together to examine current practices, identify opportunities for greater consistency across campuses, and develop ideas for stronger, systemwide procedures that support both our employees and our schools.

Days like this give our leaders dedicated time to learn from one another, strengthen shared practices, and ensure that our campuses and Central Office continue moving forward together.

A big thank you to our Principals, Executive Team, and HR team for their engagement, thoughtful discussions, and commitment to continuous improvement.
