Yesterday Cooks was dispatched for a structure fire on Kennewick Rd. Cooks E1 arrived first due and reported a working fire. E1 crew took suppression and went to work.

N.C. Forest Service has issued burn ban for the whole state of NC starting at 6pm today until further notice.

*Structure Fire*

Around 23:30 last night Cooks was dispatched for a structure fire. Engine 1 arrived to find heavy fire from the Alpha. E1 took a line to the door and began fire attack.

The fire brought Long Creek Fire Department, a box from Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC, Mount Holly Fire Department, and Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department.

Command cancelled Lucia and Mount Holly shortly after they were dispatched.

The incident was brought under control and turned over to the Mecklenburg County Fire Marshall’s Office and CMPD.

*MVA: At 07:15 Long Creek and Cooks were dispatched to 485 inner at Oakdale for a multi car MVA with one vehicle on fire. E10 arrived to a two car MVA with heavy damage and no fire. Companies worked for thirty minutes before clearing the scene. This was a fatality wreck, and the ramp to Oakdale will be closed for an extended period of time.
