When school doors close, reliable sources of breakfast and lunch can disappear for thousands of local children.
This summer, help ensure families have access to the nutritious groceries they need to keep growing, learning, and thriving.
We cannot nourish our youngest neighbors without neighbors like YOU.

June Volunteer Opportunities
There are so many ways to serve our neighbors, and there’s a place for you to make an impact this month.
Volunteer opportunities include:
• Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver
• Grocery Home Delivery Driver
• Grocery Home Delivery Loader
• Grocery Personal Shopper
• Harvest Haul Warehouse Help
Right now, our greatest needs are Meals on Wheels Delivery Drivers and Grocery Home Delivery Drivers. These volunteers do more than deliver food, they bring care, connection, and consistency to neighbors who may not otherwise have access.
We can’t nourish our neighbors without neighbors like you. Thank you.

Just in time for summer, our friends at Midrex Technologies, Inc. helped stock pantry shelves with a peanut butter and jelly food drive benefiting Nourish Up!
Together, Midrex employees collected an incredible 1,091 pounds of food to support neighbors across Mecklenburg County.
With more than one-third of the neighbors we serve being children, donations like these help ensure families have access to the groceries they need during the summer months and beyond.
Thank you, Midrex, for helping keep pantry shelves stocked and making a meaningful difference for local families.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Luncheon of Hope featuring Coach Dawn Staley.
Coach Staley and Ohavia Phillips-Reed brought honesty and heart to the stage, sharing powerful reflections on leadership, community, and radical compassion. Their conversation reminded us how meaningful it is to show up for one another and care deeply for our neighbors.
The afternoon was filled with connection and a shared commitment to nourishing our neighbors together. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a meaningful success.
Thank you to our sponsors, partners, donors, guests, volunteers, and community for supporting Nourish Up and helping move this mission forward each and every day.

We’re once again feeling the love from Subaru 💙
Through the recent Subaru Share the Love® Event, Nourish Up received a generous $48,185 donation to help nourish neighbors across our community.
We rely on hundreds of volunteers and thousands of donors to provide services that meet the needs of our neighbors. In 2025 alone, volunteers delivered more than 143,000 nutritious, healthy, prepared meals through Meals on Wheels — proving that we are providing more than a meal, and support like this truly matters.
Since 2017, and have been dedicated partners in helping ensure neighbors have access to not only nutritious meals, but also meaningful connection. Thank you for continuing to show up for our community and helping us nourish our neighbors with food and compassion.
