A tax forfeited property will soon go up for sale in Carver County.

Interested buyers can view property details online at www.publicsurplus.com starting 8 a.m. on Monday. Nov. 16 through 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Please note: Tax forfeited properties are sold “as is” and the property will go to the highest bidder.

Carver County’s Elections Department has scheduled the Absentee Ballot Board to begin the processing of absentee ballots for the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election on Tuesday, Oct. 20 starting at 9:00 a.m.

The Absentee Ballot Board will meet in the room next to Township Hall, which is located on the second floor of the Carver County Government Center building. The public is invited to observe the Absentee Ballot Board processing absentee ballots.

When upcoming additional Absentee Ballot Board processing dates are available, residents can find information about the process dates on the County's website.

Voters can visit mnvotes.gov for more information about absentee voting and Election Day.

Carver County will conduct a public accuracy test of its electronic election equipment on October 13, 2026, with testing held at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Carver County Government Center. Testing will take place on the second floor and may be observed by members of the public. Share our updated hours of operation with them. Changes take effect on Monday, Oct. 19!

HEAD'S UP!
Next month, CareerForce in Chaska will adjust its hours to enhance its commitment to providing valuable services for Carver County job seekers and employers.

CareerForce in Chaska served more than 5,700 customers in 2025 and is on track to meet or exceed last year's numbers. The new reduction in office hours will allow the two CareerForce aides more time to:

1) Better assist people with active cases.
2) Provide essential time for staff to complete documentation and follow-ups.
3) Complete integrity work for the federal food benefit program known as SNAP, as well as other programs.

Starting Oct. 19, the hours of operation adjust to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
