Neighborhood Development Alliance (NeDA) will be hosting a FREE in-person Homebuyer Education Workshop in English for first-time homebuyers and there are limited spots!

⏰ 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Participants must attend the entire session to receive a Certificate of Completion, which is required for most homebuyer assistance programs.

We're so excited to be participating again in the Waconia Area Chamber of Commerce annual Scarecrow Tour! Starting today, Chamber-member businesses throughout Waconia will be showcasing their creative scarecrow displays as a part of this self-guided community tour.

Be sure to stop by Crossings at Town Centre (200 S Olive St.) to check out our "Oh, The Places You'll Live" scarecrow display. Don't forget to vote online or turn in your ballot to the Waconia Chamber office by October 18th!

Our Executive Director is back at it again with her Senior VP on the Minnesota NAHRO board. Welcoming everyone to the annual conference, with a surprise cameo by the CEO of NAHRO, Mark Thiele. Housers from across the state are "All in for Housing" at this year's annual conference.

What a wonderful milestone to celebrate! Congratulations to Carver Crossing on 10 years of serving the Carver community🎉

Near the end of September, Carver County CDA staff were honored to join residents, partners, and community members in celebrating Carver Crossing's 10th anniversary.

More than a decade ago, the Carver County CDA sold land to Ron Clark for the development of Carver Crossing and additional land to the City of Carver for the Carver Station facility. Today, that area has grown into a thriving community that includes Carver Crossing, Carver Place, Carver Oaks Senior Residence, and Carver Station.

These affordable housing developments have provided quality housing opportunities and have become valuable assets to both the City of Carver and Carver County,. We are proud to have played a role in helping bring this vision to life and look forward to seeing these communities continue to thrive for years to come.

Look what we spotted at one of our properties, Carver Oaks 😊 Yesterday, Courtney Johnson, Mayor of City of Carver, and Council Member Erik Perschmann joined residents in the Carver Oaks Community Room for a Connect and Chat event. This event included city updates, community conversation, and an opportunity to ask questions and connect with local leaders. What a great event!

Carver County CDA staff attended the 31st annual MADACS Awards hosted by the Minnesota Multi Housing Association (MHA) last week! The MADACS Awards celebrate the excellence in Minnesota's multifamily housing industry and help recognize the individuals, teams, and communities that make a difference in the work we do every day. There were nearly 90 companies, and more than 1,300 attendees present. It was a great night networking and celebrating the successes of our peers!

The Chanhassen Commission on Aging stopped by our Carver Oaks Apartments yesterday to join our Executive Director for a tour of the building. As this project came to life, the group provided valuable input and played a key role in the pre-development and functional design of the property, helping us to secure equitable development points. We are so grateful for their partnership!
