Please join us in congratulating Gaspard Marion on becoming a full member of our department. Gaspard shared that he is grateful for the opportunity to serve his community and continue growing within the fire service.
He began his journey as a Junior Firefighter in high school, went on to complete the fire academy, and has now earned his place as a full member. Firefighting, he says, has helped him become the best version of himself — teaching him a strong work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication.
Gaspard finds the fire service both rewarding and fulfilling, and he encourages anyone interested in getting involved to take the first step. If you’d like to learn more about membership, please email [email protected]

We had the honor of welcoming Miss New Jersey Teen USA Makenna Wayman to our firehouse. Makenna is a resident of Chatham and on behalf of the Miss Teen USA organization and the 9/11 Day of Service, she delivered care packages as a way to say thank you to America’s heroes in observeance of the 25th anniversary of September 11th. We are grateful for Makenna’s visit, her kindness, support and care packages.

Please join us in congratulating Stephanie Chacon on becoming a member of our department. We’re excited to welcome her and look forward to serving alongside her.
Stephanie became a firefighter because she loves staying active and helping others. As a certified personal trainer, she found the flexibility to give back — and CTVFD welcomed her from the moment she reached out. She’s committed to continuing her training, growing her skills, and serving our community with dedication.
Stephanie shared, “If you’re thinking about volunteering, you don’t need experience — just commitment. It’s been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made and has even led me to consider firefighting as a career.”

Today marks 25 years since 9/11. We honor the lives lost, the 343 FDNY firefighters who gave everything, and all who responded with courage and compassion.

We also remember the families who lost loved ones and continue to carry their memory forward.

We will never forget.

Thanks to a generous donation from the John Taylor Babbitt Foundation, all seven pediatric AED electrode pads across our apparatus fleet have been replaced, just in time for the new school year.

Every AED we carry is now equipped and ready to deliver child-safe defibrillation the moment it's needed most, whether that's at a school, a ball field, or right in a family's living room.

The JTB Foundation's mission, preventing sudden cardiac death, made a direct, tangible difference in how prepared we are to protect Chatham's youngest residents. We're proud to have their support behind our members as they respond to calls throughout the Township.
