TRAFFIC GARDEN INCOMING! 🚦🚲

But wait…what’s a traffic garden?

Well, think of it as a mini road system where both kids and adults can practice riding bikes, learn the rules of the road, and build confidence. And all without real traffic!

A huge shout-out to our friends at White Oak Bicycle Co-op for rolling up their sleeves and helping make this all possible.

Stay tuned! We can’t wait to share more. 😊

LEARN TO PAINT LIKE THIS! Tonight 5-7pm. FREE!!
Join Outdoor Chattanooga’s Adventure Staff Artists for a fun and creative Silver Adventures experience at Coolidge Park! Take inspiration from the beautiful Tennessee River and iconic Walnut Street Bridge as we explore the art of plein air—or open-air—painting.

Participants will learn basic watercolor and plein air techniques before creating their own painting inspired by the outdoors. No previous painting experience is needed—just come ready to learn, create, and enjoy the scenery! All materials are supplied.

The program will meet at the Outdoor Chattanooga building for check-in before heading into the park to paint.

Walk-ups are welcome. Bring your own watercolor supplies if you have them (otherwise we will supply!!), and come ready to paint, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.

Meet under the Walnut Street Bridge in Coolidge Park near the River....you will see us!

Only a few spots left! Join us for a ride along one of the most beautiful spots in Chattanooga! Learn about history in the area that dates back to the Civil War, old railroad trestle, and about the design of the boardwalk. Heck, our Outdoor Chattanooga team will provide the bikes! This Wednesday evening! Led by our own Brian Smith.

This leisurely-paced, approximately 8-mile out-and-back ride ( approx 4 miles each way) showcases the trail’s renowned elevated boardwalk, which winds alongside the creek and offers a unique perspective of this scenic greenway.

Participants are welcome to bring their own bicycle and helmet. The ride is appropriate for all riding abilities and ages 10 and up. Youth must be accompanied by an adult and be confident riding a bicycle and this distance.

Reservations are required. Just $10.

Tomorrow is the day you've been waiting for! We can't wait to welcome everyone to the Walnut Street Bridge — one of Chattanooga's most defining connectors. We've got a full afternoon of celebrations planned, from activations across the bridge and small businesses tapping in with their own fun to the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival happening across the way at Ross's Landing!
