1-181st Field Artillery Regiment’s 1st Lieutenant Juante Williams and Captain Taylor Brittingham took part in a change of command ceremony on August 9, 2025, at home station in Chattanooga, TN. Williams has taken command of Alpha battery, with Brittingham continuing his leadership as OIC of S2.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Fresh out of Initial Entry and Advanced Individual Training, Specialist Princess Crawford has already made a memorable impact. As a 13M Gunner on the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, she entered her first unit, Bravo Battery of the 1-181st Field Artillery Regiment, with determination, resilience, and a hunger to learn. Though she is new to the Army, her command team saw something exceptional in her: enough to recognize her as the most outstanding Soldier of Bravo Battery, 1-181st Field Artillery Regiment, for the 2025 annual training exercise.

1-181st Field Artillery Regiment held an Army Fitness Test on July 12, 2025, at home station in Chattanooga, TN. This new fitness test of record offers changes to strengthen readiness and lethality.
The AFT consists of the three-repetition maximum deadlift, hand-release push-up arm extension, sprint-drag-carry, plank, and two-mile run. Top performers included CPT Davis and CPT Stafford, with Davis scoring a 493 and a perfect score in multiple events . The maximum score for the AFT is 500.

1-181st hosted its inaugural Red Leg Golf Outing, May 5, 2025 at the Valley Brook Golf Course in Hixson, TN. Soldiers, veterans, friends, and families of the 1-181st teed off for a day of friendly competition and good times with 18 holes of golf. All proceeds from the outing went directly to the 1-181st enlisted fund. ⛳️🏌️♀️

Following the selection process during this year’s annual training exercise, the leadership team of Alpha Battery, 1-181st Field Artillery Regiment, identified Staff Sgt. Kavin Johnson as their most outstanding Soldier. His unwavering leadership and relentless commitment to Soldiers proved that leadership is built on putting people first. Not just his mastery of the equipment, but above all, his understanding that leadership is about people, was what made the greatest impact. Amid the tough 2025 annual training exercise at Camp Shelby, where the heat tested morale, his leadership and perseverance set him apart.
