🦠 Community Health Update: Wastewater surveillance data for Spring 2026 is showing elevated levels of Norovirus and Rotavirus in Chattanooga.

These viruses can cause stomach illness symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramping, low-grade fever, and body aches. While many adults experience mild symptoms, older adults, young children, and immunocompromised individuals may face more severe illness.

🧼 Protect yourself and your family by:
πŸ’§ Staying hydrated
πŸ‘ Washing hands thoroughly and often
πŸ₯£ Eating bland foods while recovering
🚫 Avoiding dairy, alcohol, caffeine, and high-fat foods during illness

⏳ Symptoms typically last 24–72 hours. If symptoms persist or worsen, contact your medical provider.

Together, we can help stop the spread and keep our community healthy. πŸ’š
