The Tennessee Aquarium is a popular stop for both tourists and locals. It's also one of many businesses CPD works with to improve safety strategies and emergency communications. Collaborations like this help keep the Scenic City a safer city.

AN AWARD & REUNION
It was an emotional afternoon lineup at CPD as Officer Rogers was recognized for his brave actions in front of his peers and reunited with the family he saved from an apartment fire earlier this month. Officer Rogers received the Police Medal, which is given to officers who distinguish themselves through exceptionally meritorious service. And if that wasn't enough excitement, it was also the birthday of the young man Officer Rogers rescued! Of course we had to celebrate with some donuts and singing (badly) to him.

Ironman 70.3 - CPD - CPAAA. Great morning socializing with officers and others at the venue! Our help was not needed for the sandwiches- but we hung around awhile- FUN!

Thank you Erlanger Behavioral Health for hosting a Front Porch Lineup with CPD Baker sector officers. Policing and healthcare can be stressful work, we appreciate these opportunities to connect when the radios are quiet and we can strengthen our partnership in helping community members.

K9 Diesel was honored during the National Police K9 Memorial Service in Washington, D.C., this week. In the first photo, you see Diesel's handler, CPD MPO Winkelman, saluting after laying the rose for him at the ceremony. Thank you to the National Police Dog Foundation for ensuring our four-legged heroes are remembered for their service.

Can you dig it? Our PAL Gardening Initiative participants sure can!
We had a wonderful evening and perfect weather to kick off the new program. On night one, the kids and cops built garden beds and planted their first crops of peppers, tomatoes, and okra. Thank you to the Lowe's associates and The Bistro for coming out and helping, too. Stay tuned for updates on the PAL garden over the next few months.
