This Week at Freedom Sings USA!

Freedom Sings office has been getting texts and phone calls from participants in Elmhurst all day about how powerful the experience was. We will finish the reporting on the event with a video of Staci Boyer, VFW Commander and participant in the retreat. Staci impressed us as well. They are now a part of the Freedom Sings USA family. ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ The Charlie Daniels Journey Home ProjectHonkyTonkSchoolFreedom Sings ArkansasCalifornia Chapter - FSUSAFreedom Sings USA Murfreesboro Sessions

Great night for Encore Center for the Performing Arts at the American Legion in Elmhurst! It was a packed house to see the Freedom Sings USA songwriters honor the local veterans through their own stories and songs. The Freedom Sings team all reported a great experience and the veterans were thrilled with their experience and their songs. Staci Boyer, Navy veteran, sang her own song with Steve Dean. Other veterans participating were Donald J. Bozzi, Christine Seagrave, David Gils and Marcus J. Simonetti. Boy Scouts from Troups 82 and 117 led the Pledge of Allegiance. What a great patriotic night in Elmhurst! ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐ฏ๐ถ

Hot off the presses from Elmhurst, Illinois, pictures from last night's Meet and Greet with the veterans participating in the FSUSA workshop and others that were there including Cathy Richardson of Jefferson Starship who is pictured with our songwriters. Don Bozzi, one of the veterans, brought Shankle, his service dog. Shankle was named after a battle buddy. It was a great opening night for Encore Center for Performing Arts and their Community Impact Project with veterans to celebrate America 250. ๐คฉ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธThe Charlie Daniels Journey Home ProjectHonkyTonkSchoolFreedom Sings ArkansasCalifornia Chapter - FSUSAFreedom Sings USA Murfreesboro SessionsWUTCArts Build

The most important thing Hunter Girl did was bring on the Opry stage Sarah Lee, a combat veteran, she worked with through Freedom Sings USA in our Murfreesboro class. Sara rode her bicycle across the country to bring recognition to veteran su***de. She sang Sara Lee's song and it was strong...a very moving moment at Salute the Troops. ๐๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธThe Charlie Daniels Journey Home ProjectHonkyTonkSchoolFreedom Sings ArkansasCalifornia Chapter - FSUSAFreedom Sings USA Murfreesboro SessionsHunterGirl Music
We were so excited when Hunter Girl shouted out Freedom Sings USA and talked about it being a second family to her. Hunter Girl started writing with Freedom Sings USA when she was just 17. We know her heart which is pure to go along with that gigantic talent of hers. ๐๐คฉ๐๐ค๐ถ The Charlie Daniels Journey Home ProjectHonkyTonkSchoolFreedom Sings ArkansasCalifornia Chapter - FSUSAFreedom Sings USA Murfreesboro Sessions
