On 10/17/26 at around 15:20 hrs (3:20 PM) Doyle 1 was alerted for mutual aid assistance to South Line Fire for a working commercial structure fire located at 960 French Rd.

Upon initial dispatch, a full company response was prompted from Doyle 1. Truck 6 as well as Engine 1 responded back to back out of the firehouse and responded to the fire.

Members assisted in several different tasks from working hose lines, opening up sides of the building, and operating a master stream from our truck 6. It was a very long night for all of the members on scene and the fire was finally brought under control.

It is with great sadness that one of our great friends Scott Windover has passed away. Scott was a Wi******er fireman, as well as a public safety dispatcher in the Town of West Seneca. Most importantly he was a great husband to one of our own, and a fantastic friend to many. Please keep Scott’s Family in your hearts and minds during this difficult time.

Rest Easy Scott, we have it from here. ❤️

Last few days have been busy for members of Doyle Hose Co # 1. From school standby’s to mutual aiding for our neighbors fires. The summer has come to an end, but not the hard work from our membership.

Good morning, friends.

I'm going to try to keep my composure as I write to all of you from my heart. ❤️ Because this one is personal.

Scott Windover is someone who has spent years helping others — as a firefighter, a former Fire Chief, and a Senior Dispatcher with West Seneca 911.

Today, Scott is facing the fight of his life. He is battling Stage 4 skin cancer that has progressed and now involves multiple body systems, and he continues to receive treatment at Roswell Park.

Scott's wife, Chelsie, is a longtime member of Doyle Hose Company #1, making this especially close to home for all of us at Doyle.

Scott and Chelsie are wonderful people who have given so much to others. Now they need our help.

Please consider joining us on Saturday, November 7th, at East Seneca Volunteer Fire Company for an evening of food, raffles, and support for the Windover family.

Last Night members of Doyle Hose Company #1 and Doyle Hose Company No. 2 participated in the annual JFK High School Bonfire as part of their Homecoming weekend. This has been an annual tradition for many years.

Also be aware tonight starting at 5pm, William Street will be shut down in the E/B direction from Medina Street to about Helen Street for JFK’s Homecoming parade that starts at Doyle 1.

Be aware and plan accordingly!!

It has been a very busy ending to the Summer season for members of Doyle Hose Co #1.

On September 11th members of Doyle 1 and along with the Red Knights attended the annual 9/11 memorial at Russel’s Patriots Park.

On September 19th Doyle Truck 6 spent the morning along the Tunnels for Towers Race route in Losson Park.

Along with attending many other events in the community, members are still running calls and assisting our mutual aid partners with their incidents as well.

Never a better time to join as a member of Doyle Hose Company #1.

25 Years ago today, Box 8087 would be the final alarm answered for 343 members of the Fire Department of the City of New York.

Today more and more members of not only the FDNY, but all departments and citizens who made sacrifices to help those in need that day and afterward, are passing away due to illness related to the attacks on September 11th 2001.

25 Years later, we are still feeling the effects of the events that occurred over just a few hours.

We not only remember the lives lost in New York, we remember those who lost their lives in Pennsylvania, we remember those lost in Washington DC.

May We Never Forget the Tragic Attacks of 9/11.
