The brush site will be unlocked on Sunday for those cleaning up storm debris. Please follow the rules on what is taken to the brush site.
Update: pool will open at 2pm
Due to current outdoor temps and incoming rain, the opening of the pool is delayed to 2:00pm today (Thursday, May 28th). We will post another update prior to 2pm.

Headed to the pool this summer? Skip the wait at the pool and purchase your passes from City Hall before 1 pm on Friday and we'll have your passes waiting at the pool!
Punch cards can be purchased from City Hall or at the pool. If you purchase and fill up a 20 pass punch card, your next 20 punch pass is $55.
Family Passes can be purchased from City Hall. (Family pass members must be on the same tax return.)
Pool parties must be booked at the pool. A form and down payment are required to be completed when booking a party.
City Hall is open M-Th 7:30am-5 pm and Friday 7:30-1pm.
Cheney Pool is open daily 1-6pm.

As a reminder, in the event a tornado watch is issued for our area, the Senior Center at 516 N Main will be unlocked. Community members are allowed to utilize the building as a tornado shelter.

The City of Cheney is pleased to announce the receipt of a HEAL grant award totaling $100,000. This grant application was submitted in collaboration with the business owner at 412 N Main St, with the purpose of renovating the building located on Main Street. Constructed in 1964, the building requires significant improvements following the closure of our local grocery store, in order to support the continued operation of a business at this location. The grant funds will be utilized for the comprehensive renovation and revitalization of the building, which will be adapted to accommodate two complementary small businesses: a grocery store and a golf cart dealership. Currently, the golf cart dealership operates without a storefront on Main Street and will relocate its existing operation to Main Street, thereby increasing regional traffic in our downtown area. We are thrilled that a portion of the building will once again be utilized as a grocery store, addressing the gap in services our community has experienced since the closure of our previous grocery store on December 31st.
