Construction Update 🚧👷
This week the crew put a lot of effort into minimizing dust throughout the library, and they also got started on the demolition portion of the project.
As you can see in the photos, carpet tiles and wallpaper are starting to come down. The circulation desk has been taken out, the drop ceiling is gone, and 30 years of accumulated bark have been cleared from the atrium's bark pit.
A friendly reminder: please do not follow the construction crew back into the building. The crew members are wearing hard hats and protective equipment, and staff are not permitted in the work area either. Wandering back there puts you at risk and forces the crew to stop working, which slows the project down. We are providing service to you through the alley through the demo portion of the project.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work toward the new circulation desk and meeting room. We are glad you are here, and we will keep you posted as things progress!
