1st Grade had their first Show and Tell on Wednesday.

Students were so proud of their items and excited to tell their class about them. Both speaking and listening skills were fully active.

🎃 Pumpkins: Sink or Float? 🎃
Yesterday, our 3rd graders had fun exploring science with a pumpkin-themed activity! 🍂 Students made predictions and tested whether pumpkins would sink or float in water. They got to learn through hands-on discovery while practicing their observation and critical-thinking skills!

📢 CHEROKEE FAMILIES: LUNCH BALANCES & APPLICATIONS

🍽️ Check Your Student’s Lunch Balance

You can easily check your student’s lunch balance through the Guardian Portal in the Sylogist App or online at https://oked.sylogist.com/cherokee.

💳 You can pay lunch balances directly through the portal! Simply click the “Make Payment” link next to your student’s Lunch Room Balance and follow the prompts to PayPal. You can enter a different payment amount for each child in your household, and payments will be applied automatically.

Please note: If the balance appears in parentheses, that is the amount owed.

Erin and Megan with the OSU extension office came to the 4th grade and did a presentation over pork last week! We learned about different breeds, the characteristics of the products they can produce and made pork burgers!

Book Fair at the Elementary.
HS Academic Meet at Cherokee at 10am.
Cherokee Strip All Conference Softball game at OBA, Awards at 5:30pm and Game at 6pm.
JH Football at Pioneer, kickoff at 6pm. HS JV Football game will follow.

Tuesday:
Book Fair at the Elementary.
One Act Regional Competition in Alva.
FFA: Alva Regional Greenhand and Opening/Closing Ceremony Competition.
Parent-Teacher Conferences from 4pm to 7pm at both sites.

Wednesday:
Book Fair at the Elementary.
Fram and Traffic Safety Day for 8th - 10th Grade at Alva.
Parent-Teacher Conferences from 4pm to 7pm at both sites.

Thursday:
No School - Fall Break.
HS Football at Waukomis, kickoff at 7pm.

Friday:
No School - Fall Break.

Saturday:
Regional Cross Country Meet at OBA.

HS Boys and Girls Golf Tournament in Alva.
