Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and accepted for who they are. On National Coming Out Day, we honor the strength of LGBTQIA+ individuals who choose to share their stories and live authentic lives. Together, through education, support, and allyship, we can help build a more inclusive world where everyone can thrive.

💙 You Don’t Have to Navigate Grief Alone 💙

The loss of a child is a profound and lifelong journey, and support can be especially meaningful long after the days of Shiva have passed.

Our Parental Bereavement Group offers a compassionate space for parents who have experienced the loss of a child of any age, for any reason. Together, participants can share their experiences, honor cherished memories, and find comfort in the understanding and support of others who truly understand.

What a wonderful afternoon at September's Love Café Europa Program!

Our Holocaust Survivors and guests enjoyed an uplifting performance of traditional Jewish music, a delicious lunch from Magical Sweet Shop, and most importantly, meaningful conversation and connection with friends old and new.

We were delighted to welcome Rabbi Lipkin from Temple Beth Sholom, Cherry Hill to his first Café Europa program. We also had the pleasure of celebrating Sophie Cohen's Bat Mitzvah chessed project, as she and her family joined us to present a generous donation benefiting our Holocaust Survivor community.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers, donors, and community partners whose ongoing support helps make programs like Café Europa possible. Together, you bring friendship, joy, and connection to our Survivors every month.

We recently had the opportunity to chat with our amazing Board President, Margo Orlin, to reflect on her time at the helm of the JFCS Board of Directors!

LOOKING BACK ON YOUR TIME AS BOARD PRESIDENT, WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENT MAKES YOU THE MOST PROUD? It is difficult to choose one particular accomplishment. Rather, what I am most proud of is seeing the meaningful impact of our work for so many people across our community. As the president, I have been honored to be a part of so many beautiful moments that all together equal one big amazing accomplishment.

WHAT IS SOMETHING PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPISED TO LEARN ABOUT BEING BOARD PRESIDENT? Everyone knows that the role of president is a big responsibility, but I think people would be surprised to learn just how much the president is involved in planning, decision making and supportive work, not just for JFCS, but also across the Federation system. As an integrated Jewish Federation, the president of any one agency is also part of a larger landscape and is able to have a perspective beyond the lens of one agency.
