🚔 NOW HIRING – FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER

The West Vincent Township Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.

We are looking for highly motivated, ethical, and community-oriented individuals interested in joining our department and serving the residents of West Vincent Township.

SALARY & SCHEDULE
• 2026 starting salary: $86,408–$115,211, based on prior full-time law enforcement experience
• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend off

BENEFITS
• Medical, dental & vision coverage
• Pension plan, including DROP
• Life insurance
• Longevity increases
• Tuition reimbursement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, a U.S. citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or GED, and be capable of performing the essential functions of a Patrol Officer as established by MPOETC.

Applicants must possess Pennsylvania Act 120 certification at the time of hire or qualify for a waiver of training under MPOETC requirements.

Current police academy cadets are encouraged to apply!

Officer Fields brought his appetite to work!

Yesterday, Officer Fields participated in a rib eating challenge at Texas Roadhouse for first responders, and managed to finish as the RUNNER-UP!

He may not have taken home the top prize, but he definitely had a great time, enjoyed some good food, and represented the department well!

A big THANK YOU to Texas Roadhouse for hosting a great event and showing appreciation for our first responders. We appreciate you!

25 years later, we continue to remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless families forever changed that day.

We remember the police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away. Many never came home.

We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the families who continue to carry their loss.
And we remember the unity that brought our nation together in the days that followed.

From all of us at the West Vincent Township Police Department, we honor those we lost and the heroes who answered the call.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

🚨 BRIDGE CLOSURE ALERT AT HOLLOW ROAD 🚨

📅 Monday, September 14 – Wednesday, September 16
⏰ 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Sheeder Hall Bridge at Hollow Road and French Creek Road

Drivers should be aware of an upcoming closure on Hollow Road due to bridge repair work. During these hours, Hollow Road will be CLOSED and DETOURED. Drivers will be directed to use French Creek Road and Pughtown Road.

Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time. Drivers are reminded to slow down, follow posted detour signs, and use caution around the construction area.

Please share this notice with friends, family, and neighbors who may be traveling through the area.

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

The West Vincent Township Police Department would like to welcome all of our students, teachers, staff, and families back for another school year! We hope everyone has a safe, successful, and exciting year ahead.

As everyone settles back into the school routine, we ask our community to help keep our students safe by slowing down in school zones and obeying posted speed limits, staying alert for children walking, biking, and getting on or off buses, and giving the school buses plenty of space and follow all Pennsylvania school bus laws.

A few extra seconds of patience and awareness can make a tremendous difference in keeping our kids safe.

To our students: Have a fantastic school year! We’re proud to be part of this community and will be here to help keep our schools and neighborhoods safe.

🏒 Reminder! This Saturday is the Charity Hockey Event at Ice Works in Aston! 🏒

Join us this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a great day of hockey, community, and supporting a meaningful cause.

Be sure to stop by and cheer on our own Officer Rubino as he hits the ice alongside fellow first responders!

This special event is held in memory of Corporal Timothy O’Connor, honoring his life, service, and sacrifice. It’s a great opportunity to come together as a community, remember a fallen hero, and support an important cause.

When the heat is on, you call in the pros… and by “pros,” we mean Officers Fritz and Fields serving up Rita’s Water Ice! 🍧😎

After the Coventry Youth Football & Cheer Skills & Drills Camp wrapped up last night, our officers traded badges for scoops and helped cool off all the young athletes with some well-earned treats.

A big thank you to the Coventry Wildcats family for having us and to Pughtown Rita’s for helping everyone beat the heat. We had a blast… although we’re pretty sure handing out water ice made us more popular than handing out traffic citations.
