Oh my goodness π what a day we had yesterday during STORYTIME π
My very dear friend, Nancy Holdsworth joined us to read a story about a ghost. But it wasn't your ordinary ghost π» She even made and quilted the ghost quilt that went with the story. Now, when you see the children trying on the ghost quilt, you won't know who they are, unless you know what shoes they were wearing βΊοΈ
After our story, we went to table time for our ceaft, where we made dancing ghosts. If you wanna make some at home, here's how ya do it. In a clear cup, add 1 cup water and 1 TBSP baking soda. Stir til clear. Then draw faces on your beans(small limas) and drop in the water mix. Add a splash of white vinegar til they 'dance' π»π»π» I'll post a couple videos later, so you can see some of them βΊοΈ
After clean up, we went outside for our annual PUMPKIN PATCH. We had games set up for the kiddos, hay bales to climb and take photos on, and a pumpkin patch, to choose a pumpkin to take home. Look how excited they were to do hopscotch, play connect 4(ok maybe they just liked dropping the discs into the slots, but they were having fun), climbing the hay, searching the sensory bin to find matching objects, or playing in the corn to see which bucket could fill up faster.
I've gotta tell ya, I was a little tired when it was all said and done, lol. But whatever it takes to help the kiddos learn and have fun π€
