Orange County will be testing their IPAWs system this morning. You will be getting a test message on your cell and landline phone, if you are in the area. No registration is required. This is only a test. There is no real emergency and there is no action required.

🚨 ORANGE COUNTY EMERGENCY EXERCISE - HAPPENING THIS MORNING

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and the Orange County Department of Emergency Services will conduct a large-scale emergency exercise TODAY, September 9, simulating a significant flooding event across Orange County.

⚠️ THIS IS ONLY A TEST.

As part of today’s exercise, Orange County will also test its Countywide Emergency Alert System. Residents with compatible mobile devices within the targeted area may receive a TEST emergency alert during the exercise. No registration is required to receive these alerts.

📱 If an emergency alert appears on your phone this morning as part of the exercise, no action is required by the public.

⚠️ THIS IS ONLY A TEST.

Today’s exercise gives County departments and emergency response partners the opportunity to work together and test the coordination, communications, resource management, and systems we rely on during a real emergency.

Due to the ongoing construction, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel our Oktoberfest. Construction is moving along but there is still more to happen that impacts our event.

Work is moving really quick on the replacement of the failed culvert under our driveway. We're hoping the driveway opens up this fall.

The Building project is moving along with the structure of the much needed addition almost done. What you won't see from the outside is upgrading our kitchen with new cabinets, counters, and appliances.

We'll be back September 18th 2027!

On behalf of the officers and members of Sugar Loaf Engine Company, we would like to extend our thoughts, prayers and support to our fellow brothers and sisters of the Coldenham Fire-Rescue Department after they experienced a devistating fire inside their firehouse this morning.

We are thankful no lives were lost in this fire, but it is crushing to lose the tools and apparatus used to service your district.

Please keep all the members of the Coldenham FD in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time.
