The New Jersey Sheriff’s Association is warning residents about an active phone scam in which criminals spoof caller ID and impersonate current and retired law enforcement officers.
Hang up. Do not engage with the caller. The Morris County Sheriff’s Office never calls to demand immediate payment of fines, fees or other debts, or payment by gift card or cryptocurrency.

This is a beautiful season to visit Willowwood Arboretum in Chester Township!

Tucked into the hills of Chester Township sits Willowwood Arboretum, 130 quiet acres where two brothers spent half a century planting trees from all over the world. 🌳 Henry and Robert Tubbs bought the old farm back in 1908 and slowly turned it into a living collection of more than 3,500 kinds of plants.

Today it is a hidden gem of the Morris County park system, free to wander and blissfully uncrowded. You can follow winding paths past towering dawn redwoods, rare oaks, and a gentle stream called Bamboo Brook, with each season putting on its own slow, gorgeous show. 🍂 In autumn the whole place glows gold and crimson, and you might have an entire grove to yourself.

There are no rides, no gift shop, no crowds, just old trees, birdsong, and the kind of deep stillness that is getting harder to find in New Jersey. It is quiet proof the Garden State still earns its nickname.
