95 years old, nearly 500 songs, and a lifetime of love for music. 🎹💛

Meet Lou Newman, a resident at StoryPoint Carmel whose piano playing brings a little extra joy to her neighbors every day!

Whether she's welcoming visitors with a familiar tune, accompanying the resident choir, or playing a song that takes someone back to a special moment, Lou knows just how powerful music can be.

“People stop by the piano every day, they say, ‘I was so down this morning, but when I heard your music, it made me happy.’ So, how can you not play?”

Today, the Life Enrichment Department wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible staff from every department in our building. Thank you for everything you do each and every day to make our community feel like home.
A special thank you to Rachel from CorsoCare for treating everyone to an amazing dirty soda bar—it was such a fun addition to the day!
Every employee pours their heart and soul into their work and lives out the true meaning of 1440 each and every day through compassion, kindness, and teamwork. We are so grateful to work alongside such an amazing group of people.

Today wasn't just about attending a Tigers game—it was about honoring someone who truly loved the Tigers through and through. Shirley's passion for baseball, her smile, and the joy she brought to those around her made this day incredibly special.
We are so grateful to Shirley's family for making this unforgettable experience possible for our residents. Their kindness allowed us to celebrate Shirley's memory in a way that we know would have made her smile.
This was a day we will never forget, and neither will the memories we shared together.
Shirley, you'll always be a part of our StoryPoint family. We know you were cheering right alongside us today.

Our Culinary Showcase today was a huge success! 🍕☀️

Chef Stan did an outstanding job creating an incredible lineup of grilled pizzas that were absolutely delicious! From Hawaiian and BBQ Chicken to Meat Lovers and so many other tasty combinations, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

It was a beautiful day spent soaking up the sunshine, sharing laughs with great company, and enjoying even better food. Thank you, Chef Stan, for making this month's Culinary Showcase one to remember! ❤️🍕

🇺🇸Today, our visit to Selfridge National Guard Base was something very special! 🇺🇸

Every single one of us is connected to someone who has served or is currently serving in our military. We were especially honored to have one of our own residents, a Navy veteran, join us for today's experience. Thank you for your service, Ron! 🇺🇸

It was a day filled with gratitude, reflection, and heartfelt conversations that we will not soon forget!

Day by day, we watched them grow, spin their chrysalises, and transform into beautiful butterflies. 🦋

Today, we celebrated the final chapter by releasing them into nature! Watching them spread their wings was a beautiful reminder that growth takes time, change can be wonderful, and with patience, amazing things happen! 🦋
