The Junior Federated Women’s Club of Chester (JFWCC) is federated under the charter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The GFWC is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. We are also a member of the state, General Federation of Women’s Clubs-Virginia, and local Lee District organizations. The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is one of the world’s largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational, women’s volunteer service organizations, founded in 1890 and chartered by the 56th United States Congress in 1901. More than 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and more than a dozen countries work in their own communities to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding. JFWCC members are dedicated to positively affecting the lives of residents in and around Chester, Virginia. We actively contribute to our community whether it be volunteering our time, collecting donations, or lifting each other up in times of need and encouragment. Our project work supports various areas including education, health and home life. Through offering our time, energy and talents, we are dedicated to serving our community. Last year, we had 58 members, completed 23 projects, volunteered 2,683 hours, and provided $72,000 in monetary and in-kind donations to support our community.

🥪❤️ Small Acts of Kindness, BIG Community Impact! ❤️🥪

Our JFWCC ladies and their amazing kiddos came together to spread a little love by making 220 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for our neighbors experiencing homelessness! 💕

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated supplies, rolled up their sleeves, and gave their time to make this meaningful act of kindness possible. A special shout-out to Tillary for generously donating the bread! 🍞🙌

It takes a village to make a difference, and we are so grateful for the big hearts and helping hands that make our JFWCC community so special. Every sandwich was made with love, and every act of kindness reminds us that even the simplest gestures can make a meaningful impact. ❤️

What a wonderful day at the Midlothian Day Festival! 💙💚 A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by the JFWCC booth and helped make it such a success! We loved connecting with our community while supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) and its mission to inspire a love of reading in children, one book at a time. 📚✨

Our October Club meeting was extra special as JFWCC members showed up and wore their pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀💕
Beyond the pink, we’re celebrating the friendship, encouragement, and genuine connections that make this group so special. Whether we’re serving our community, supporting important causes, or simply sharing a few laughs together, we’re reminded that there’s something powerful about women supporting women.

💕🎀 Walking Together for a Cure! 🎀💕
What an incredible day for the JFWCC at our annual “You are More than Pink” walk benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation! 💗 With over 60 participants and more than $15,000 raised, our community came together to support an important cause and make a meaningful difference in the fight against breast cancer. 🎗️

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

This month, the JFWCC stands with the millions of women and families whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. 💗

We honor those we have lost, celebrate those who are fighting, and lift up the survivors who inspire us with their strength and courage. We also recognize the caregivers, family members, friends, and healthcare professionals who walk alongside them every step of the way.

Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink—it’s about education, early detection, support, and hope. 💕 Take a moment this month to schedule your recommended screenings, encourage the women you love to do the same, and be there for someone who may need a little extra support.

Together, we can spread awareness, encourage early detection, and remind every woman that she is never alone. 🎀💗
