The Kent County Fraternal Order Of Police Lodge 110 would like to recognize Tracey Krauser Kirby and Jamie Miller, owners of the Double Tap Tavern in Golts, Maryland. On August 24, 2025 Tracey and Jamie sponsored a fundraising event with a portion of the proceeds donated to the FOP Lodge. During the November meeting a plaque was presented to the Double Tap Tavern thanking them for their support of the Lodge. Jamie was present and accepted the plaque. Unfortunately, Tracey was unable to attend. Your support of Kent County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 110 is greatly appreciated.

From Left to Right: Vice President Tanner Nickerson, Treasurer/State Trustee Steve Lozar, Jamie Miller, President Phil Nickerson.

It is with great sadness that we share news of the untimely passing of K-9 Oxan. Oxan has been a faithful and dedicated member of the Chestertown Police Department and partner to Corporal James Walker since 2016. Oxan, we are forever grateful for your service and you will not be forgotten. Rest easy.

Three heroes lost. Two fighting for their lives. Today in North Codorus Township, Pennsylvania, our law enforcement family was brutally attacked while serving and protecting. We grieve, we stand with the families, and we demand justice. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We have been made aware that some residents have received phone calls today from a subject identifying themselves as a Sergeant from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, requesting payment to dismiss a warrant against them or to remove them from the S*x Offender Registry. This is a common scam occurring nationwide.

Please be aware that no police department will contact you by phone and request payment of any kind. If you have a concern that you may not be speaking to a real representative of our agency, please hang up and call our office at 410-778-2279 to confirm the legitimacy of the call.
