We joined law enforcement agencies from across Maryland to pay our respects to Denton Police Chief George Bacorn.

On September 25, 2026, Chief Bacorn tragically lost his life in a head-on collision while driving his department vehicle. A deeply respected leader, Chief Bacorn dedicated 36 years of service to his community, including six years as Chief of Police.

We honored a brother who devoted his life to protecting and serving others.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with Chief Bacorn’s family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Denton community.
