Listening to this one on audio and boy it is amazing. The only thing you need to know going is it goes across three timelines with one woman. Some chapters are when she is a young maiden, then when she is a midlife and then the matriarch. You can read all the young chapters all the middle chapters, and then the older chapters independently or you can read the whole book as it is written- it doesn’t ruin the story. It’s amazing. Psst .. it’s based on the true story of pirate Grace O’Malley. But don’t ruin it by reading or listening to the author note until the end and don’t look anything up until you’re finished with the book!
