π§ Thereβs more than one path to a successful career!
Earlier this week, representatives from LCCC's Metallica Scholars Initiative and local construction contractors visited seniors at Pine Bluffs High School and Burns High School to talk about career opportunities in the skilled trades.
The conversations focused on the many pathways available to students after graduation, including opportunities beyond the traditional four-year college route. With significant construction and infrastructure work expected across southeast Wyoming over the next decade and beyond, the need for skilled workers isn't going away anytime soon!
Students also learned about LCCC's Essential Systems Technician program, supported through the Metallica Scholars Initiative, and how it can help them build practical skills for careers in the trades.
A big thank you to Laramie County School District #2 for welcoming us into your schools, and to the Wyoming Construction Coalition and Wyoming Young Contractors Coalition for bringing industry professionals into these important conversations. We're also grateful for the continued support of Metallica's All Within My Hands Foundation in helping create opportunities for Wyoming's future workforce. π€
