Please join us at the Muslim Women Resource Center for a special visit from Rep. Kevin Olickal’s office and Sen. Villivalam’s office. Their teams will be on site to provide assistance with state programs and services.

As many Americans gather with loved ones on Thanksgiving Holidays, two families are instead facing grief, fear, and uncertainty following the shooting of two National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C.

The Muslim Women Resource Center condemns this heinous act in the strongest possible terms. We stand in solidarity with the injured service members and their families during this difficult time.
The Afghan community has endured tremendous hardship. The actions of one individual do not and cannot define an entire community.
We call for the perpetrator to be held fully accountable for his Actions.

We are thrilled to extend our deepest gratitude to our generous community members who donated two vehicles to support our newest community members. Your kindness is already making a significant difference.
These cars are more than just transportation; they’re lifelines for individuals starting survival jobs and striving for stability. One of the recipients shared with us how much it meant to his young son. So overjoyed, the boy simply couldn’t leave the car; he stayed inside until 10 p.m., smiling and exploring every inch of it.
Your gift not only empowers our clients practically, but it also brings unexpected moments of joy and reassurance to their families. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and the positive impact you continue to have on our community.

It is heartwarming to see how hard the Afghan community is working. We’ve supported many of you through resettlement and renting your first apartments—and now, many are ready to purchase their first home in Chicago.

Because of the growing number of inquiries about buying a home, we invited a local bank to come and provide detailed information and the great news is there are grants of up to $10,000 available for first-time homebuyers in Illinois.
