Spring is in full swing at the West Loop Green City Market! Organizers counted more than 3,000 people and 450 dogs who visited today’s market.

Especially great to see so many neighbors enjoying the playground at Mary Bartelme Park after recent surface improvements! 🛝

The new 34th Ward mural is by and for the community, created with resident inspiration.

Thanks to artists POSE, Max Sansing, Jeff Zimmermann, and to Art Encounter, Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events for organizing yesterday's meet & greet to incorporate memories & reflections of the neighborhood we love.

Thanks to Renaissance Court Senior Center for welcoming me to the finale of Older Americans Month: the "Art of Living Well" reception right here at the Chicago Cultural Center in the 34th Ward.

Every beautiful piece of art was made through classes with support from staff & artists.

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the legacies of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

It was an honor to represent the U.S. Navy at today’s Gold Star Families Breakfast, Memorial Day Wreath Laying, and Parade.
