Despite the cold, Chicago comrades came out for May Day in force. We joined the march from Union Park to Daley Plaza under our new “No War But Class War” banner, and attracted many interested workers and students alike. Conversations, questions, and genuine interest in revolutionary ideas everywhere we turned.

Our book table was a hit too; we completely sold out of Marxist Classics Vol. 1. When the march kicked off, our bookstore crew moved over to Daley Plaza and kept the momentum going with the crowd there.

All out for May Day! AKA International Workers’ Day!

International Workers’ Day was born right here in Chicago, out of the Haymarket struggle for the eight hour day and the fight for working dignity. 140 years later, the struggle continues.

March with the Revolutionary Communists of America this Friday, May 1st at Union Park, 1:00 PM. Bring your friends, your coworkers, and your revolutionary spirit!

No war but class war!

This past Saturday, we held our public event in Chicago: “What is Communism?” 50 people walked through the door, 30 comrades and 20 newcomers.

We opened with a short leadoff and then threw the floor open for discussion. The conversation covered everything from the state to mutual aid. Afterward, we spent nearly an hour answering questions about the party, Marxism, and what it actually takes to fight for change in our lifetime.

By the end of the day, 5 contacts asked about joining and getting involved, two of which have signed up as official members. “Thoroughly enjoyed the conversations. I’m totally joining you guys.”

We also sold $98 in literature, and talked with union members, DSA comrades, independents, and everyone in between. The demand for revolutionary politics is more real than ever.

Our next event is coming in June. Stay tuned for the date!

On Thursday, April 2nd, the Revolutionary Communists of America in Chicago joined RCI comrades worldwide on the international day of action for Ehsan Ali and the other detained Awami Action Committee members. The situation has recently become a matter of life and death, as just days before our action, a Pakistani police officer informed of Ehsan Ali’s critical health condition responded with, “let him die.”

In Chicago, comrades visited the Pakistani Consulate to hand-deliver a letter signed by all present to the Deputy Consul General, demanding it be forwarded to the relevant authorities. Meanwhile, other comrades were at the downtown library, making calls and sending emails to Pakistani student groups, diaspora organizations, and the consulate itself. We will not stop our campaign until Ehsan Ali and all members of the Awami Action Committee are free.

An injury to one is an injury to all.

No Kings. No Democrats, no Republicans, and no war but the class war.

This past Saturday, we marched from Butler Field to Trump Tower through downtown Chicago, but that won’t save us from Trump’s chaos.

We know the solution: communist revolution. Organized and led by the working class.

Build the party workers deserve: join The Revolutionary Communists of America!

Chicago RCA stands with RCI comrade Ehsan Ali and the other AAC-GB leaders arrested under Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Act.

The crime? Hosting an iftar dinner with fellow organizers to discuss a protest against the looting of Gilgit-Baltistan’s resources. For this, they face terrorism charges.

This is the second time Ehsan Ali and AAC leaders have been targeted. Last year, they were imprisoned for months, freed only after an international RCI solidarity campaign.

Solidarity from Chicago, birthplace of May Day.

An injury to one is an injury to all.

Free Ehsan Ali! Free the AAC!

Workers of the world, unite!

Saturday night, Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA) comrades in Chicago took to Federal Plaza for an emergency protest against Trump’s criminal assault on Venezuela and its president. Our position is clear: we stand with the Venezuelan people against U.S. aggression and intervention. This is the duty of the working class everywhere.

The capitalist system manufactures crises and the ruling class uses them to expand its empire. We say NO to another imperialist war! The people of Venezuela deserve self-determination, not bombs and occupation.

Solidarity with the Venezuelan people in their struggle against imperialism!

Hands off Venezuela!
