Ageism is a pervasive issue that negatively impacts our health, well-being, financial security, and the economy. It manifests in stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination based on age, affecting individuals of all ages.

Fortunately, we can combat ageism by raising awareness and taking action. Ageism Awareness Day on October 9, 2024, provides an opportunity to shine a spotlight on this issue and promote positive aging.

By working together, we can . Here are our top priorities for 2024:

• Encourage public advocacy: Motivate more individuals and organizations to speak out against ageism.
• Expand awareness: Foster recognition of Ageism Awareness Day in new communities and organizations.
• Flood the digital landscape: Share pro-aging content on social media and in traditional media outlets.
