Last weekend, the USS Hyman G. Rickover crew participated in the Groton Area Submarine Birthday Ball. This year marks the 126th submarine birthday, recognizing the U.S. Navy’s acquisition of the USS Holland (SS-1), and celebrating its contribution to naval history and operations.

The RICKOVER sailors and their families enjoyed spending the holiday season together, including an FRG-organized party. The children were thrilled to receive gift cards provided by the 795 Club members and donors.

When members of the RICKOVER visit Chicago, pizza is always a highlight. Thanks to our members and a generous donor, the 795 Club recently facilitated a pizza night with genuine, made-in-Chicago pizzas and the RICKOVER sailors enjoyed it immensely!
