Last week, thousands of officers marched along Michigan Avenue in Chicago for the 94th St. Jude Memorial March, honoring our fallen officers and their families. During National Police Week, and always, we remember their service, sacrifice, and enduring legacies with gratitude.

Our 19th District officers are hitting the roof May 15th, to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics! Come cheer us on, grab a snack/coffee, and join the fun! Let’s light up the torch together! If you are unable to make it in person, a QR code is provided.

This event will take place April 29th from 3-4pm at 850 W. Addison St. Limited supplies are available on a first come first served basis to residents of the 19th District. Please bring proof of residency to determine eligibility.

On April 17th, 19th district officers conducting surveillance near 3700 N Halsted St due to increased airbag thefts in the district observed a male break a car window and attempt to remove items from the vehicle. Victim was notified and offender was taken into custody without incident. JK220714

On April 14, 19th District officers responded to a call of a suspicious person connected to a package theft near the Sheridan Red Line. Officers located two individuals matching the description as they attempted to board a train and detained them on scene.

Officers recovered burglary tools and stolen mail belonging to multiple victims. The female offender also had an active warrant and was taken into custody.

Investigation conducted with Area Three Detectives and a U.S. Postal Inspector. RD # JK215795
