The first phase of the Robbins Heritage Park and Midlothian Creek Restoration Project is officially FINISHED! Now we kick off the second and final phase of work that will help address overbank flooding through a new stormwater park and pond, along with improvements to Midlothian Creek.
In attendance we had:
Current and former Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) Board of Commissioners as well as staff; Village of Robbins Mayor Darren E. Bryant along with their Board of Trustees; U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin; Illinois Governor JB Pritzker; Interim IEPA Director James Jennings; Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle; other local partners and residents.

From Eckhardt Park to the Polish Triangle, each stop told a unique story of Polish American heritage.

Thank you Chicago Public Library for collaborating with us on these 2 walking tours highlighting the Polish-American contributions to the "Windy City". It was a pleasure to share with folks some of the overlooked history and cultural connections that many are unaware of.
