Participants will learn situational awareness, personal safety strategies, how to recognize danger before it escalates, and lifesaving skills that can help save a life until first responders arrive.

A special moment today. We received a last-minute request from one of our supporters to help celebrate a young graduate, and without hesitation, we jumped into action. The kids had an amazing time taking pictures and exploring the engine.

Great day of mutual aid 😊🙏 and community outreach in Burbank with the Burbank Fire Department at Haunted Trails Family Entertainment Center. My cadets had an awesome time learning, serving the community, and seeing public safety from a different perspective. We also patrolled the streets of Chicago with my staff, continuing to stay active in the community.

Big thanks to Haunted Trails for feeding the crew and showing love to the kids. Afterward, we headed down to Seneca to watch the boats and enjoy the country.

We are saving lives by changing lives and stretching out to other communities. God is good.

Yesterday was a glorious day as we changed quarters to the Phoenix Fire Department 😉🤣 to accept a generous donation of training equipment that will help us continue teaching in the community and enrolling students into the fire academy.

Thank you for your huge donation, support, and belief in our mission of saving lives by changing lives. Because of partnerships like this, we are able to create more opportunities for the next generation of firefighters and public safety professionals.

This is probably going to be one of my favorite cadet stories. Yesterday he asked me, “Who is Alderman Beale?” I explained who he was and the support he gives to the community. Right after that, he said, “Let’s pull up to his office and take some pictures.”

On the way back down Michigan Ave., he saw some random guys standing outside. I jumped out and asked if they would take a picture with him in his fire uniform. They smiled and said, “Who pulls up on somebody in a fire truck just to take a picture?” I smiled back and told them, “Honestly, this is my first time too.”

That’s the side of fire and EMS the community doesn’t always get to see. Not the lights and sirens, but the inspiration, the pride, and the connection. It honestly felt good seeing someone in the community excited enough to stop and take a picture with a young man in uniform. Moments like that remind me why we do this. Saving lives by changing lives.

It’s truly a blessing to have so many unbelievable stories to tell.
25 years in EMS at my age still feels crazy to me. Through every call, every life touched, every late night, and every challenge — God has continued to guide the journey. Still standing. Still serving. Still saving lives by changing lives. Also to have a BLS ambulance in service with my mentor name on it is crazy.
