💪🏽History-making women remind us to be outliers. To stand out. To speak up.📢
Anita Hill, attorney and educator, should be remembered not only for challenging a Supreme Court nominee but bravely challenging a system and empowering women to report sexual harassment in the workplace. SPEAK UP! 🗣️

💗Rising Black girl . . .
Today, your assignment is to imagine yourself in the fierce skin of Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress in 1968. She represented a district that included the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn for seven terms. Then in 1972, she became the first Black candidate to run for a major-party nomination for president of the United States. 💗
Babygirl, there’s nothing you can’t do! 💪🏽💪🏽

Should Black people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?☘️
Absolutely! Black and Irish people have a shared history of British oppression and being “othered” in American society. Many Irish were staunch abolitionists and activists for freedom. Black and Irish communities mingled. They lived in the same neighborhoods and blended cultures. Tap dancing, in fact, is a blend of African and Irish dance. 💚
☘️So wear your green and clover proudly today! 🍀
