In 2025, Old First House case manager, Kelsey Tagg (with the generous support of the Sarah Ralston Foundation,) developed a Horticultural Therapy pilot, and now a handbook to replicate the initiative across Depaul USA locations. Horticulture Therapy, which can include preparing soil for seeds, watering garden beds, or other gardening activities, facilitates mindful engagement while also encouraging interaction between participants.

Proud to have leadership Sandra Guillory join colleagues from Depaul International and other group partners to learn more about the work of the FamVin Homeless Alliance and welcome Depaul Philippines to the community.

Together, Depaul, FamVin, and IGH are advancing efforts to address in more than 70 countries around the world.

Depaul USA New Orleans has been offering wellness programming since 2021: combatting the isolation and trauma of homelessness through positive, therapeutic activities that promote self-worth, healthy coping, and community.

Every year, Depaul USA has reached more people in need and 2025 was no exception. Last year, our Day Centers, Housing, and Health Services programs served a combined 7,690 people, providing diverse resources to address homelessness at its root, and cultivate future stability.
