CORRECTION: Event will be at 4 p.m. (NOT 2).
Join us as we recognize Pride through a discussion of Leslie Feinberg’s 2009 book “Rainbow Solidarity in Defense of Cuba.” We’ll learn about the lives of LGBTQ people in Cuba before and after the revolution. We’ll discuss the progress the socialist country has made in advancing the rights of LGBTQ people, towards the ultimate goal of ending patriarchal capitalist oppression. As always, we’ll also discuss how we can continue to apply this revolutionary experience to our work here in the belly of the beast.
“When trans rights are under attack, what do we do? STAND UP, FIGHT BACK!”
