As we close up Black History Month, letโs be reminded how integral black business, culture and organization have been in the creation of our communities. There is no US history without black history.
Likewise, we cannot foster community if we donโt support each-other. So we at CFF ask you to take a dive into the wonderful spaces that surround us. Community, love, and safety is always closer than you think, and these places prove that.
Thank you for being a part of our community.

Around 220,000 Chicagoans are uninsured.
For those experiencing homelessness, the reality is even worse. In fact, people experiencing homelessness average 1.4 million emergency department visits each year. Those without stable housing often turn to hospital emergency departments when they feel they have nowhere else to go for medical care.
Thatโs were we come in.
Through multiple clinics and meaningful partnerships with organizations like CountyCare, PrimeCare health and Tapestry 360 health, weโve worked to provide a stable medical home to 75% of our guests. Somewhere where they are safe, where they can be seen and where their medical needs can be met.

Food security is the reliable access to a sufficient amount of healthy and affordable food for all people, regardless of their status, ethnicity, gender, religion, or class.
Food security is not a reality for many of our friends in Chicago. In fact, at least 19% of Chicagoans are food insecure and those with children are at an even greater risk. With the rising cost of living and constant changes to SNAP benefits, many of our friends are left wondering if they can cut any more costs in their food budget.
At CFF, food is at the heart of what we do. From running a hot meal program, to operating a food pantry, and delivering food to over 25 wards. We are there.

2025 has been the most transformative year for Care For Friends. And each step of the way we had you.
We couldnโt do any of this without you. Yes, you reading this right now! Without you we would not be able to provide 654 families with monthly nutritional assistance via our CarePack Grocery Delivery Program.
There wouldnโt be 13,181 three-course meals served to our friends in Chicago without you.
Or 1,737 visits to our pantry.
Without you, we couldnโt distribute 70,000+ pounds of food across all our programs.
Everything we do is only possible through the collective strength of our community - and this past year, our community grew stronger than ever.
Whether you stopped in one day to lend an hour of your time, or followed us on social media, or donated, or told a friend about us. You are the reason for any success we share.
Without you there is no community, and there is certainly no us. So pat yourself on the back because you made 2025 happen ๐๐
We canโt wait to see all the greatness you have in store for 2026
