Media Class worked hard this year to create a unique item to sell at this year's Newsies concession stand. We mashed up a traditional cross body newspaper carry bag, from the Newsies world, with some fun black "punk rock" black cloth patches. Bags will be for sale at the concession stand and then patches can be purchased separately, to make your bag your own, or just buy a patch to put on whatever you like. All patches have an iron on backer to easily assemble at home. We hope you enjoy wearing them as much as we enjoyed making them!

Our 3rd graders are diving into science through exciting “Who Would Win?” style projects!

They’ve been practicing science skills like forming hypotheses, making observations, researching evidence, and using critical thinking while exploring animal adaptations, habitats, and survival strategies.

Families were able to come see our young scientists showcase their creativity and discoveries!

What a fun week celebrating our amazing staff! HAT along with our HamFam community really stepped up to help show our teachers and staff how much they are appreciated.

This fun cart in the teachers’ lounge was generously sponsored by Hilary Jesudoss and Cart Blanche. Thank you!

Our staff at Hamilton is truly the best!

This week our 6th graders became urban ecologists through the Science on the Go program from the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.

Students explored how populations of birds vary across Chicago and learned how habitat changes influence where different species thrive. Using calipers, they measured bird features like breaks and wings to better understand how birds adapt to life.

We are grateful for the opportunity to bring science to life and our ongoing partnership with

At Hamilton, we have the best school counselor! Our kids are lucky to have someone like Mrs. Gardner in their corner every single day. She shows up for them in ways big and small and is a steady presence that students and staff can always count on.

Thank you, Mrs. Gardner, for being such an important part of our school community. 💙

The first Newsies production meeting last Friday went virtual due to the cold weather. The team is working hard to bring this school musical to life. Thank you for partnering with us to make this the best possible experience for our middle schoolers! (Missing from the photo: Hunter)
