Celebrating Women in History Month! Thank you Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch for hosting a wonderful event. Such powerful and intellectual women leaders in the state of Illinois.

We need to restore our local government distribution fund especially since the State is back on its feet. We need our general assembly to keep their commitment to the municipalities. We gave back when asked during bad times now let's give back when times are better!

Transparency is critical when facing a collective crisis like COVID-19. To get through this pandemic as a community and protect our most vulnerable, the entire community needs to be on the same page. I have made it a point to provide our residents with the necessary information and constant updates to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

“I endorse River Forest Village President, Cathy Adduci for re-election.

She is tireless in her commitment to maintain River Forest as a safe, welcoming and inclusive community.

River Forest is known for its architecture and historically significant homes on every street. Under her guidance we have an improved Historic Preservation Ordinance as a move to help us preserve, not destroy our beautiful homes while respecting owners’ rights.

During Cathy’s administration, our seniors are recognized as assets to our community and she endorses measures to help seniors age in place.

Cathy used her strong leadership skills in a time of crisis, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been her top priority to keep us informed of all mandated and suggested measures in an effort to keep our village safe. She diligently gives us updates sometimes daily, via emails, recorded phone calls, and posts on the village website and social media.

Though times have been tough, I have never stopped believing in the strength and resilience of River Forest. The world may have come to a halt but the work never did. It is a privilege to be able to serve this incredible community.

All businesses face extenuating circumstances at some point and it is crucial for them to have a strong support system to stay afloat. I always work to ensure that the Village of River Forest is an important part of that support system and that business owners know that their community stands behind them.

“With elections for the Village of River Forest approaching, I write in support of President Cathy Adduci.

I am the proud owner of the Skincare Company Spa & Salon. When my landlord announced he was reinventing the location on Lake St., he gave me ample notice to relocate. I called and scheduled a meeting with Cathy and explained my situation. I told her I wanted to keep my business in River Forest as I am happy in River Forest. Cathy offered to help in my new location in any way possible and she certainly came through!

Cathy is very attentive and calls and e-mails businesses periodically to inquire if the need any assistance or support. Cathy has a great understanding of the challenges that our local small businesses face today!

I have known Cathy for several years and am proud to have her serving our business community and citizens as the leader of our Village. She has been instrumental in the decisions that have been made to better our community with growth. Her leadership has sustained the community’s well-being as it is led by good government. President Adduci works hard to sustain the connection between local government and small businesses like mine, which affects the entire village in a positive manner. President Adduci’s history has proven to be a positive asset for the village of River Forest and my hope is that we will move into the future with the same, superior leadership.
