Beautiful bookstores and libraries in Italy: The Biblioteca Statale di Lucca is a historic library located in the heart of Lucca, Italy. Originally founded in the 17th century by the Abbot Girolamo Minutoli, the library was transferred in 1877 to the ex-convent of Santa Maria Corteorlandini. The extensive collection includes over 464,000 volumes, including over 4,000 manuscripts, 835 incunabula and 12,000 historic cinquecentines.
