From the Veterans Pillar of the Arthur Lockhart Resource Institute, we join the nation in honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse Louis Jackson Sr.
Rev. Jackson was not only a civil rights icon — he was a humanitarian who consistently uplifted the men and women who served our country. He advocated for veterans’ rights, stood with military families, and reminded America of its responsibility to care for those who sacrifice for our freedom.
As we continue our mission to serve veterans and their families, we honor Rev. Jackson’s example of compassion, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to human dignity.
May his legacy continue to guide us.

✨ Women Veteran Vision Board Workshop ✨ Even in the cold, our women veterans showed up with strength and intention. The room was full of good vibes, great food, and powerful energy.
Huge thank‑you to Shamika White for leading an excellent session and guiding the women through vision, clarity, and purpose.
My word for the year is Manifest, inspired by Jeremiah 29:11 — and today felt like the perfect start.

On this day, we — America’s veterans — pause to honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man whose courage, conviction, and sacrifice reshaped the soul of this nation.
As veterans, we recognize that freedom is not only defended on battlefields — it is also protected in the streets, in the courts, in our communities, and in the hearts of those who refuse to give up on equality.
Today, we salute Dr. King.
We honor his legacy.
And we recommit ourselves to the ideals he lived and died for.
