Bittersweet: Loading the last hives. Because our site will soon become the visitors center of the Pullman National Monument, work to remediate some old trouble spots is beginning soon, and that means nobody without clearance gets onsite. So, temporarily, we will be relocated. Just in time to shut down for the season 🐝🐝🐝

The 12-acre historic Pullman Factory site is where jinglebees apiary is located. Two years ago, part of the site was included in the new Pullman National Monument - very exciting!
Now the planning begins for the Visitors Center, which is to be located inside the clocktower structure. Plans may or may not include significant changes to the landscape. It's early days, but jinglebees (and the community garden, and the bird sanctuary) could certainly be affected by this.
Part of the process (by law) is public comment. Will my friends, customers, and well-wishers please comment on the proposals, and help me ensure that there is a place for the community apiary in the plan?

Swarm caught at the Pullman State Historic site, nicely built up.

Just caught a HUGE swarm out in the Apiary, one of the biggest I've seen. After such a devastating winter, it seems the bees are overcompensating!
