Today is Memorial Day, when we honor the brave men and women of the U.S. military who gave their lives in service to our country. Let us remember their sacrifice and express our deepest gratitude to their families.

Thank you to our dedicated officers for all you do to keep our community safe, and for taking the time to connect with neighbors over coffee. Building relationships makes our community stronger and safer!

It was an honor to recognize Jewish American Heritage Month at City Council today! The Chicago metropolitan area is one of the largest Jewish communities in the world, with many Jewish Americans calling the 50th Ward home. As the only Jewish alderman on the City Council, it was a distinct honor to represent my people at City Hall.

Thank you to all the Jewish community leaders who came to City Council to celebrate. I am immensely grateful for all our Jewish organizations do on behalf of the 50th Ward, the City of Chicago, the United States, and the world. Wishing a happy to everyone!
