Thursday, October 30, at 6 pm CT, join Compassionate Care Network (CCN) and Medicare Expert Masood Bijapuri (Broker Sales Manager at HealthSpring) for an educational webinar on Medicare!
Medicare is a federal health insurance program in the United States for people age 65 or older and younger people with disabilities, including those with end-stage renal disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease). It is administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Medicare is divided into four Parts: A, B, C, and D. Part A covers hospital, skilled nursing, and hospice services. Part B covers outpatient services. Part D covers self-administered prescription drugs. Part C is an alternative that allows patients to choose private plans with different benefit structures that provide the same services as Parts A and B, usually with additional benefits.

Preventing the spread of Flu and Covid-19 is important, especially for our seniors and vulnerable community members.
Compassionate Care Network has organized a series of free flu vaccinations in partnership with our good friends at MCC, MEC, ICCD, BYNC, Osco and Walgreens.
The 2025–2026 flu season is expected to be active, with flu activity rising as early as October and peaking between December and February.
Last season, the United States saw an alarming flu impact: at least 47 million illnesses, 610,000 hospitalizations, and 26,000 deaths—including hundreds of children. Flu shots can significantly reduce your risk of getting sick, being hospitalized, or worse, and even lower complications from heart attacks and strokes.
Everyone aged 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine each year—especially children, seniors, pregnant people, and those with chronic conditions. It takes about two weeks to build protection, so get vaccinated early to stay one step ahead of the flu.
Join CCN at MEC on September 19 and ICCD on October 4—and stay tuned for more upcoming events at other venues! Together we can keep our community healthy.
