We are a Pre-K through 8th grade neighborhood elementary school serving students from the Edgewater and Andersonville Communities. Helen C.
Peirce School is a Pre-K through eighth grade campus. Opened in 1915, the school now includes the original facility and an annex that was built in 1999. The annex houses a state-of-the-art library/media center, computer lab, music room, art room, science laboratory, cafeteria, and seventeen classrooms. 5th Grade Writer's Theater - While reading "Ninth Ward", students explored the question "When systems meant to protect us fail, how do we protect ourselves and our community?" This question could not be more needed to explore as we continue to mourn the loss of Jayden Perkins.

Jayden Perkins was a loving, funny, talented Peirce student who’s light shined brightly across the school community and beyond. According to one of his teachers, “he was the student who stood up for everyone,” now let’s be the ones that stand up for him and his family during this time of grief.
