And that’s a wrap for Inside Governments’s 20th year!
Thank you to all our members and attendees for making it a very special one. We were pleased to host Deputy Governor of Illinois and former 26th District Representative, Christian Mitchell, alongside an array of public service professionals and Loyola Chicago Alumni, for a 20th Anniversary Gala celebrating this achievement. And to our amazing senior Inside Gov members, congratulations on your graduation! We know, like all the other alumni in the room, you will go on to do great things in service for others. If you are interested in attending an end-of-the-year gala like this, and get our special red, white, and blue cords for graduation, come join us in the fall!
We have a very exciting 2026-2027 year coming together, you won’t want to miss it!

Welcome back from Easter Break, IGov members! We are *honored* to host a very special panel of Chicago judges! If you are pre-law, or interested in the court system, join us THIS THURSDAY on the IC’s 4th floor to hear Cook County Circuit Court Judges discuss their career paths and the future of our justice system. As a reminder, this is your LAST CHANCE to attend an IG meeting before our 20th ANNIVERSARY GALA DINNER— you need 3 events to become a member eligible for this unique opportunity. Good morning, IGov members! This THURSDAY at 6PM we are hosting an event dedicated to the hardworking campaign workers that fuel election season! Join us for a non-partisan discussion about their roles and how you can get involved in campaigning. As always, all majors welcome.

We understand that students of the Loyola community are worried about how new federal immigration policy changes may affect them, and the confusion around how these policies are being enforced across the state of Illinois and the United States. Inside Government is here to help. We encourage students of ALL majors to join us THIS THURSDAY at 6PM to hear from local experts on the latest developments in federal immigration policy and emergency preparedness.

TOMORROW 02/26, join us for a conversation with a representative from Alderwoman Maria Hadden’s office on the intersection of the environment and our government— how is climate change affecting us? What actions is our local government taking? What more is there to be done? As always, stop by for some cookies and networking!
