Since 1986 Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cook County has been training everyday people to stand up for children who have experienced abuse and neglect in an overwhelmed and extremely under-resourced foster care system. Without a helping hand from CASA of Cook County volunteer advocates, these children may fall through the cracks and never be given an opportunity to find a place to call home.

This summer, our youth packed up for Illinois State, Columbia College Chicago, Northern Illinois University and beyond. At our C.I.T.Y. Trunk Party, young people transitioning from foster care left with laptops, dorm essentials and the support of a whole room behind them as they began their first semester.

Every vote helps us keep showing up for youth at every next step.

CASA of Cook County has been named a FINALIST in the 6th Annual Anthem Awards! 💙

This national recognition celebrates our work in Children & Family Services, under the Industry Specific Program category in Humanitarian Action & Services.

For 40 years, CASA of Cook County has been a voice for children and youth navigating the foster care system, ensuring they are seen, heard, supported and never forgotten.

This honor belongs to our incredible CASA volunteers, dedicated staff, community partners and supporters who show up every day to make a difference in the lives of children who need us most.

But the celebration doesn't stop here!
